BuzzTV HD5 Android TV Dongle – Budget-Friendly Yet Powerful

The BuzzTV HD5 Android TV Dongle will be released on May 19th.

This dongle will be released at the same time as their X5 Android TV Box and I’m excited to review both of them!

The new BuzzTV HD5 appears to be their budget model that is portable and can easily be hidden behind a TV.

I really like seeing these new Android streaming devices hit the market.  People are getting sick of the restrictions that have been rolling out recently to Amazon Fire TV devices.

BuzzTV is known for their Android TV Boxes that cater to those of us who use IPTV services.  These devices come with a dedicated IPTV application and remote control that is specifically built for that app.  These streaming devices also work great with side-loaded applications such as Kodi, Syncler, etc.

Once I receive this new Android TV Dongle, I will write and in-depth unbiased review which will be available on this page.

BuzzTV HD5 Android TV Dongle – What We Know

It looks like the BuzzTV HD5 is trying to compete with devices such as the Amazon Fire TV Stick and Chromecast with Google TV.

It includes future-proof features such as AV1 codec, Android 11, large internal storage, plenty of RAM, Ethernet, and dual-band WiFi support.

The system will come with a Bluetooth BT-400 Smart Remote with Smart Remote App.  The included app probably allows us to customize some of the buttons on the remote.

Here is a statement that BuzzTV released regarding the HD5 Dongle.

Our all new proprietary “ALL-IN-ONE” media access solution allows you to merge all your streaming needs into the HD5.

I’m curious to learn exactly what “All-in-One media access solution” means.

Closing Thoughts

It’s great to see that BuzzTV is releasing two new streaming devices and this one caters to those who want a dongle that they can travel with or conceal easily.  I’m guessing this will cost less than their X5 Android TV Box.

As mentioned earlier, cord-cutters want systems that they can customize/optimize and it appears that this dongle will meet those expectations.
