All New Chromecast HD Now Available (Read This Before Buying)
Google has finally released its latest version of Chromecast with Google TV which is now available for purchase.
The device is a trimmed-down version of the original Chromecast with Google TV that streams content in High Definition.
Unfortunately, it only provides content in 1080P which falls short of the 4K version from 2020.
We have yet to purchase or test the device, however, there are some things you should take into consideration before buying.
The Chromecast HD is the exact same model as the original Chromecast with Google TV and features many similar components.
Chromecast with Google TV Review (2020 Model)
This includes 8 GB of Internal Storage and the handy remote control that comes with power and volume buttons.
However, the new device only has 1.5 GB of RAM while the original model features 2 GB of RAM.
One thing to note is the Operating System for the new device that will run Android 12. The 4K device is still running Android 10 with plans to update this in the future.
Those purchasing the 4K Model have 3 color options: Snow, Sunrise, and Sky.
The 1080P model is only available in Snow White which is pictured below.
The new Chromecast with Google TV HD comes in at a much lower price point of only $29.99 which is the same as Amazon’s Fire TV Stick Lite.

Many Android fans will rejoice at the $20 discount for the 1080P model that has the same streaming capabilities as the $50 model.
This may seem like a fabulous deal on an Android streaming device that will provide you with endless content choices.
However, there is a cheaper alternative that seems to work just as well if not better and provides 4K streaming capabilities.

For the small price of only $19.88, you can purchase an onn. Android Box and enjoy the same streaming experience as you would with the higher priced Chromecast with Google TV.
