The major issue with unverified streaming apps/websites is that there are many bad actors in this space, which we note throughout our website.
We’ve seen instances in the past with unverified app developers stealing user data, hosting files with viruses, and other malicious activities.
In this case, these bad actors are taking advantage of Cinema HD’s popularity and trying to trick users into installing malicious APK files.
In our Cinema HD tutorial, the APK file that we are showing is 100% clean of viruses/malware and is used by many other trusted resources in the streaming space.
After watching a video from TechDoctorUK and doing further research, we found several clones of Cinema HD filled with viruses/malware.
Cinema HD is one of the most popular streaming applications that provides movies, TV shows, and other on-demand content on any Android-powered device.
Malicious Cinema HD Clones
After doing hours of research on this topic we found several malicious clones or “knockoffs” of Cinema HD and wanted to make our visitors aware of these.
We scanned various APK files using VirusTotal and even found one of them contained 15 malicious files!
Keep in mind we have likely just scratched the surface, as there are many more suspicious Cinema HD clones floating around.

What was most interesting during this research process was the Cinema HD app we found on the Google Play Store.
After researching the developers, we scanned the file on VirusTotal and found that the application contains a malicious “phishing” file.
One of the reviews for this Cinema HD app in the Google Play Store even notes the faultiness of this clone.
Overall, there are many Cinema HD clones floating around, and we wanted to warn our visitors to stay away from these malicious files.
